Since when did the aftermarket grille cost as much as the OEM grille? Where can I find one of these? lol

spark parts is where I got mine, need to borrow a friends vin though. Maybe go visit a dealership lol

where they get you is the garnish, it’s like $300 for a new OEM one and all the aftermarket ones are the wrong color. They gave up protecting the grille because the OEM ones are hard to tell the difference between some of the other aftermarket ones. The OEM garnish looks much better than any aftermarket I have seen, so they priced the shit out of it.

mine was $100 and its horrible.

doesnt fit, its matte black and not gloss black like the OEM grilles, its fading, the letters fall off, etc.

Here is my setup using this grill and the anytime backup wiring. I modified one of the mounts DamGuide made for the camera to work.

Sounds like he’s going to try to make a mount for this camera so I won’t get to much into it.

I’ve been running this setup for 2 weeks now without any issues. The original issue was making sure it wouldn’t rotate while going over rough terrain. I solved that but I think it’s best to see if DamGuides new mount works before everyone goes out and purchases the camera.

ordered it through longo toyota on sale for $180 it requires a vin (trdpro) in order for Toyota to release it. I’ve seen aftermarket grilles for about same price check Tacomabeast or Toyota pro shop, empyre, taco garage. I bought the seven sparta garnish on Amazon $25 no issues on the TSS.

won’t be able to get a pic of the image on the screen til I get back, here is a pic of how the royeut mounts up, nakita mounts up pretty much the same way. Used the factory mounting and screws for the factory OEM camera.

Traveling back today if anyone wants any of these. Ordered the 3rd option and should have something to show on it by end of next week.

I’m interested in image quality comparison.

I went a different route for camera and got the crime stopper 300 because of the multiple mount options and I’m using an sr/5 grill. Just noticed they have a new cam 400 supposed hd just not sure if the quality would be noticeable just comparing the specs from them (or how they compare to the cameras you’ve bought?)

Found some image quality comparisons on my phone since I have nothing to do while driving back that I did awhile ago. The nakita wasn’t installed, it was taped in front of where the camera goes because I was lazy and didn’t feel like taking the grill off the truck to get a picture of the image quality, but you can see how wide angle it is that it even pickups up the sides of the lens in the corners. You can even see with it an inch in front of where it normally sits, you still get way more FoV than the other camera that’s an inch back or so.

    1 OEM rear camera
    2 ruyoet
    3 nakita

ruyoet comes with the lines disabled, you have to cut a wire to enable them. Nakita comes with the lines enabled and you have to cut a wire to disable them. That’s why the lines or there or not there.

I've been enlightened, didn't know the factory head unit had a front camera input. And where will it appear in the menu once one is connected?

If your truck didn’t come with one, you need to buy an aftermarket option like germes labs or anytimebackupcamera

DamGuide I removed the 3rd camera option this week and made a shim that works perfectly. Now the camera isn’t going anywhere. If interested and want to message me I can explain so you can manufacture.

That’s pretty much the direction I am going to go, a shim that is doubled layered that will keep it centered in the hole and be flush with the surface of the grille.
