Dam. I just picked up the nakita. I wish I would’ve gotten that ryuoet. The field of view sucks on the natika, it’s all distorted. 7585DC3C-D49D-448D-B3A8-12D0650F9567.jpg

FoV is much better, you can see a ton more, but yeah the quality is not great. Sacrifice pixels for seeing more, always a tough choice.

I could probably get my mount to do that if you didn't care to have it centered nicely in the hole.

Do you have specs/resolution of those cameras? I’d like to compare to the ones I posted above

I'd be interested in knowing more about how you mounted the camera in the sr5 grille.

So you would just use the mount those 2 cameras come with to put it in an open space. Then use the anytime camera kit.

It’s not centered now, pointing downwards I’m gonna see if I can get more of an angle out of it. I already got it down a little more than the previous pic. I really want it to be like straight down, like the reverse camera.

Not sure what you mean? These mounts are specifically for the 2020+ pro grille. I have a mount for the 2020+ OR/Sport grille for the nakita and could easily do one for the ruyeot too. I haven't see any of the other grilles to make one. Both these two grilles come with mounting points for an OEM camera.

I don't think sr5 grille comes with a mount point.
    It looks like this. IMG_20201127_135546.jpg

Looking at the anytime camera page I could just get the rear camera kit and switch to just view my trailer or the full kit. Looks like the camera choices are the same and mount in a hole I'd have to center above or below the emblem with the sensor.

Probably could just use the camera that comes with the ABC mod and drill a hole for that one.

I'm thinking after looking at it the camera would have to go in my grille under the Logo/sensor thing. I'm not sure it that would be to low. They did simular in an install for the 4 runner in a video I found.

Different grille and different model Natika, but the lower mounting position was the only option on my 2017 Limited since I wanted to keep the camera centered on the grille.

Sorry, the camera I used is not from ops list. My camera actually came with 4 different mounting options (reason I bought it) and that’s what I used to mount (no drill 3m mount and the camera is adjustable in the mount after the fact). I have the first version of the gen3 sr/5 grille. I also didn’t care about being centered because I realized the rear cam isn’t centered either so that’s how I justified it to my ocd (not even a single argument since)

not trying to take away from the good work the op is doing for those specific grilles! I literally only came here trying to compare the camera display quality because I’m always looking for better

I kinda want that newer sr/5 grille. If I did I’d still offset the mount like I have it currently but that’s just me

That actually don't look bad and I can justify it being a little off center too. I don't think it would effect the image much at all. The idea is to just get a down in front view of what's ahead. I had a concern about doing it under the sensor and with the bolt through way the one in the kit mounts not have enough space with the radar sensor. That would solve that too. I don't want to take away from the OP's work making mounts for the OR and sport, just looking for something different. I'm going to try to use your idea on my grille. Thanks for sharing.

I have the OEM camera and it is a pos for image quality. I am looking to replace it. The only concern I have is trying to make it work with factory harness if possible.

Thanks! Would you say the Ruyoet has much better resolution thank the Nakita? I have the Nakita as my front but it’s not that clear out in the trail.
