My 01 SR5 that has an air bag light on. My truck is showing code B1100 and B1157. I have already checked both air bag sensors with an ohm meter and they both check out good. Where do I go from here?

Yeah...I mess around with damn near anything on my truck- but not the airbags. One wrong move and you are in for like a 3 grand of repairs and parts.

Those codes indicate that your RH air bag sensor is bad. The B1100 is a generic sensor code, and B1157 pin points the problem as the RH sensor.

You said you checked the Ohms, I show you should have between 754-886. The second Ohm test is to check resistance from SR+ to body ground. This should be 1M Ohms or higher.

The only other thing to check would be voltage, and then a break in your wiring somewhere. I don't remember ever replacing a sensor on a Tacoma, so look around for the obvious first.

Don't be afraid of air bags. ALWAYS disconnect the negative battery cable when you're replacing stuff, and you'll be fine. The only hard part about working on SRS systems is usually the connectors. They always have a double clip on 'em, so you have to be careful not to break the connector when you're unplugging it.

I thought this said 3 grand and pants! not parts! lol probably true on the pants as well though! I as well am not a big fan of playing with the airbags but a little TS is passable but please don't ohm the airbags themselves and yes undo the battery first.
