I just upgraded from my 94 Toyota Pickup to an 05 Tacoma last week (gonna miss that old truck, but happy with my purchase). I'm in the process of doing all the routine maintenance. Tonight I checked the air filter and noticed that on the air box, there are only two clips securing it in place. On the front side (radiator side) there are two wire clips, but on the back side (cab side) there is nothing securing it in place. Are there supposed to be clips on that side too, or does it secure in some other fashion?

I've spent quite a bit of time here on TW already and there's a ton of quality info (compass fix was VERY helpful). Thanks for all the help!

Perfect. My old air box had 4 clips, one on each side, so I was a little confused. Thanks!
