So as I was driving to lunch today my AC started to act oddly. It seems like no matter which speed the fan selector is set to, it is only blowing 60-70% as strong as it does normally while set at the same speed. In addition the air is being cooled but not to the extent it normally does. Does anyone have any idea what may be going on or anything I may try or look for to get the AC back to functioning like normal?

When did you last check / change the cab air filter?

I had scheduled maintenance about a month ago so it was checked at that time. I will give it a look and see if anything looks out of place or exceptionally dirty. Thanks for the idea. The weird part is that it was working perfectly fine yesterday and today it is all of a sudden acting oddly. It hasnt been a gradual decrease in performance.

on my 05 there was a small black box which is an AC amplifier mounted behind the glove box with one bolt. I just happened to find it dangling one day as the plastic tab cracked. I googled the numbers on it, thats how I know it was related to the AC. I was experiencing similar issues as you when that box was dangling.

doubt thats it as your truck is only 2 years old but worth looking into since the symptoms are the same. hope this helps

Look under the dash on the passenger door side behind the glove box. Mine was tethered by the harness with bolt on opposite end. the vibration tugging on the harness eventually broke the plastic tab. Major fail. Must've been a newb engineer that worked on that part of the truck. Good luck

You could check your fan motor connector, resistor, and fan switch connector for loose / burnt connections too - and the voltage to the fan motor on HI speed - if the voltage is close to battery voltage then you might have a failing blower motor.

    This.
My first Toyota with a filter was a 2003 Corolla and did not know it had one. Went for a cruise on a hot day along the ocean in Malibu and apparently the coils iced up due to poor airflow and blocked any cooling effect.
Took out the filter and once the ice melted, some of it dripping inside the cabin all was good but the trip inland thru 100 degree heat on the way home was a bitch.
