I'm sure that somebody has done this, but I've searched and can't find anything.
Anyway, has anyone simply removed the hose/pipe from the airbox and installed a 4" cone filter where the hose was attached and then removed the factory filter from the airbox??? If so, did it work and did it seem to help the flow??

my guess is that it would make it worse, b/c u'll be pulling in all that heat directly from the engine compartment. the way it is now, its set up to a small type og cold air intake by pulling the air from inside the fender. only thing is that the piping and box and filters are restrictive. i'd do the secondary air filter removal and get a drop in afe dryfilter if u dont wanna drop in all the money for a true cai
