Curious to know how many people have had to replace an air/fuel (o2) sensor under 100,000 miles.

I cut some wires here. Added some wires there.
I haven't replaced it yet, but I will be tonight. Seems to be a hot topic lately.

im at the point now where my truck vibrates/shakes for a few seconds in a lower gear.Ive had this problem since i got my headers installed and i have a p0430 code. A faulty sensor can give code of a faulty cat

Mine is 2008 2.7l with 66k miles on it & LCE header added 5k or so ago....so far so good. Getting 20-22mpg with the 5 speed and 30" 265/70/16s on it.

My truck is throwing the P2195 code which is the A/F sensor. The truck is also surging.

I have heard that a new ceramic header can ruin an o2 sensor. So I called LCE and they have not had any complaints of this. He advised to clean the MAF. I did that with no avail.

The truck goes in on Tuesday to the Toyota dealer - it is still covered under the certified 12/12 bumper to bumper. Parts fail, I guess this one has at 49,000 miles.

Good to know.I have ceramic Doug thorley headers installed.I thought maybe the shop damaged my sensor when they installed it back on.Do you know how ceramic headers can ruin the sensor?

Apparently chemicals from the manufacturing process of the header burn off when it is new.

It's possible they did damage your sensors since they have to remove them to change the header. The 2TR sensor is further back and removal isn't necessary.

That's what I'm thinking. There is a huge difference in price with the before and after cat. The front one is 205.00 and the rear is 67.00.

I just replaced one on my wifes 2008 sienna, stealership wanted $412 to do this. I did it myself for $150. Not a bad job wasnt worth $400 to do, buy a O2 sensor wrench makes it easier.

I've replaced mine, was throwing codes. Removed and use some 02 safe cleaner, and just sprayed the 02 sensor holes.

Im starting to get worried about my p0430 code..i changed out the air/fuel sensor, transmission flush, and rear differential. After 2 days of driving, the same code came back up. Im going to toyota and im going to get bank 2 sensor 2 and hopfully that will fix it. Ive already had the passenger side cat replaced under warranty, but im over warranty now so it will be all on me this time:(

sounds like a possibility.CEL come one yet? Before i changed the sensor,i would get shaking at lower rpms from 1st to 2nd gear (more noticable when i go uphill).Changing out bank 2 sensor 1 helped that, but my p0430 code still shows
