Alright so I just picked up a 07 PreRunner Double cab and when I have my steering wheel straight (as in both tires pointed forward) I get this air noise kind of similar to the sound when you blow air out of a straw. Even if I move the steering wheel just a little the sound still persists. Its only when I make a significant turn the sound goes away. This sound is also kind of similar to when you turn your steering wheel all the way to the left or right. I do have aftermarket rims on this truck that were on there when I bought it, could it have anything to do with it? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Your airbag has a leak. Duct tape will fix it.

Put a windshield on to keep wind noise down.

Maybe you need to flush out the power steering system. Maybe belt also.

Thanks guys it ended up being the windshield, I'm having one put on today which should keep the noise down. And I did find part of the airbag hanging out so I used ducttape and that did the trick.

Haha yea right, it definitely has to do with the power steering, I don't know if I should flush it or what.

In all seriousness. In the past with other vehicles I have only had noise issues with power steering making a noise when the the system was under a strain. Never had any issues when the wheels were pointed straight ahead. I did a google search and the only thing I found was someone saying they had a belt that was starting to shread and it made a hissing sound. I also read where someone suggested that there could be air in the power steering system.
