Airbag recall on 2004

Took my 2004 tacoma 4x4 in yesterday for the ball joints, took it 2 months ago, but they didn't have the parts in stock, and said they would call, clearly they didn't.

So took it in yesterday and they said i had 2 recalls, they had already done the spare tire holder 2 months ago, so i wondered what the 2nd one was, turns out it was airbags.

Thought i would mention it cause when i checked the vin of my truck online for recalls, the ball joints, and spare tire carrier were listed, but even today, the airbags are not.

i only found out about it at the dealership

Got it back, 2 new lower ball joints and 2 airbags, the person at the counter didnt have any more info about the airbag recall except to say that it was in their computer so i got it

 

Interesting. I got the ball joint recall done in 2010. Carrier plate recall about 6 months ago but mine was fine since it was mostly cold weather state trucks that needed them replaced. But nothing on the air bag front! Hmm...

 

Maybe it's certain vin numbers....
