    best wheel bearings around! www.marionbumper2bumper.com
Interesting. I guess the 2nd gens are the ones with install problems of others? I have installed another brand with no issues or mods needed on 1st gen Tacoma trucks.
    Two questions:
Will these be available for 1st gen Tacoma trucks?
How does the water management system work?

from what ive read safari vs airflow the safari doesnt quite follow the lines of the 2nd gens since it was made for the hilux where as these are made specifically for 2nd gen tacoma.

water management is the same as the safari

First question: I don't believe so. However, I will check eith my supplier just tove sure.

Second question: As rain enters the scoops with the air, you get a cyclyonic effect and the denser material (water is denser than air) spins to the outside. It builds up and runs out weepholes that are designed to catch it and pull it out.

Or you hop out in the rain and spin your intake around :)

And for you stock guys, this is no different than putting a Cold Air Intake on, except these you'll actually see gains from as it work like a ram air system. You can hydrolock going through a puddle, it doesnt take much water at all to do it. Call it preventative maintenence if it lets the wife buy you one ;)

Just don't exceed 15 mph with it backwards or you run the risk of being sad :)

Unlike Safari Snorkels, Airflow does not recommend driving faster than 25km/hour with the snorkel intake turned backwards due to possible loss of airflow.

No problem. I never really worry about flipping it around for a couple reasons. 1) where I live is pretty dry during the summer and doesn't get a ton of snow in the winter. 2) I keep an extra air filter in the truck stash bag in case the one I'm running gets too wet. Swap em out and off you go.

I live in northern UT, moderate rain storms and sometime knarly winter snow storms. My question is how will this thing handle snow being sucked into it? Two main reasons I'm entertaining the idea of getting one are as follow: gas milage, and sucking clean air on dusty dirt roads.. Maybe i build a screen basket to mount to it for the winter months or something along those lines?
