@stronghammer the more I look at the install on these shock mounts, the more I think I’m leaning towards the ford shock towers. So these will probably be yours. Lol. I gotta stop being so impulsive and buying stuff.

These are more specific to the 12 inch shock. I want a 14 inch and don’t want to mangle a perfectly good product to do so.

I paid 105 shipped for them so something around that. I got them in the mail yesterday. Lol.

ahh gotcha. yeah I'm just wanting to stick with the dakar setup I have now, no 63" swap for me. basically @Acerwin's old setup is like exactly what I'm going for in the end with my Tacoma.

agreed, with the shock relocate I'd have just nearly an identical suspension setup.

 

will hd packs flex that much or does it matter what pack you use?

 

I do not know. I have the original dakar pack with AAL just as he did.

 

In theory, a pack built with fewer leaves will flex more than a pack built with more leaves. I do t know how this applies to different setups of the same pack.

Haha I can imagine. My uncle worked on F14s when he was in the Navy and he always said the pilots would have shit themselves if they knew how much "100MPH tape" they used to make their jets flight worthy for their missions.

 

What amazes me the most is how many cracks and holes are in very important components. Had a transmission beam with so many holes it looked like swiss cheese. We uncovered that when we were installing a mod which means that bird had been "airworthy" for a long time before it reached us.
