I'm going to respectfully say, Ryan doesn't know what he's talking about. But that's an opinion, and you know what they say about opinions.

 

They have it on their website too. A spring with 742lb/sec

 

lb/sec? Is that quoted from the website? Because that's not even a unit of measure for spring rate.

 

All I know is my springs are rated for 700lb. Didn’t know there was a difference between adjustable coilovers and regular coil springs

 

No that was a mistake on my part. I dunno jack squat about anything in this area. But they do sell Eibach springs that are 742lbs

 

There's quite a difference. The one's for adjustable coilovers are more generic and have a flat top and bottom to the spring. The one's specific to Tacoma shocks have to use a vehicle specific spring perch on the bottom.

Those are not the right springs. 170mm is equivalent to a 6.5 inch spring which you don't have. Tacomas use a spring closer to 12 inches. That spring is more suited for cars if I had to guess.

Not sure why I'm in the mood to argue about this. Lol.

I KNOW lol I was just showing they sell springs with other spring rates than the normal 600, 650, 700 etc

 

I won't believe it till I see a part number and its spec sheet saying its for a Tacoma.

Hmm. Well if those springs are sagging already, you've got major problems. I'm running 700 lb coils with minimal preload with a lot more weight and I'm not sagging that much.

On another note these progressive AAL’s ride smooth and are waaaaaaay better than rear blocks. So spongey

 

Maybe I’m just dumb or don’t get it..:they aren’t wore out. They snagged as soon as I put on the bumper and winch and it even said if adding extra weight put it on the next snap ring up. So I don’t think there’s a problem. He bottom ring was designed for 2.5 in of lift without weight. I’ve added close to 200lbs in the front so I’m just gonna move it up one clip

Well two different techs told me just bump it up one notch to the 3.2inch lift setting to balance out the weight and it’ll be fine. But to not use the last two notches

 

Well I’m just gonna bump it up one and go with it. I don’t have money to buy another set up. Or I could just buy a spacer up front and leave it on the bottom ring? Thoughts?

 

Extend your bump stop a little and you won't have to worry about the shock bottoming out. Could work. Have to check everything real good though before hitting anything hard.
