Damn I hate GB's. Any way, MetalTech4X4 is offering friggin Icon Coil-overs for 20% off. The price is supposed to jump after March 7th on all Icon's.

What do you guys think? $880 for 0-3.5 lift, rebuildable, extended travel coil-overs. Are the Icon's worth it? They also have Light Racing UCA $375,(Ball-joint with extra travel for extend travel coil-overs.) or Total Chaos UCA's with Uni-ball, $640?

I'm still analyzing the friggin budget, so this head scratching could be for nothing. I could probably do it if I felt like it was a good deal.

I got into an accident yesterday on Hwy 11 in Trussville. Does anyone have any idea how much a new chrome bumper and a silver tailgate runs? It wasn't my fault, so I wont be out any money for the wreck. Im just curious on the value of those. And also a plastic fender thing for the back right tire?

Don't lie to the people...haha we got to see what trail grapplers on a Prerunner and 3in lift does. I was very impressed. Besides, he got to show up some chromed out Chevys sitting on 22"s

How fast was the vehicle going and whose fault? Looks to me you'll need a new bumper, bedside, and it could quite possibly be frame damage if it was hit hard enough or at a weird angle.

It was the third cars fault. Idk his speed, maybe 20mph when he hit? It was a really old Yukon that got sandwhiched that hit me. I looked under the bed and nothing seemed to be damaged, but Im no expert.

Time for an offroad bumper. Either that or offer to buy someones bumper so they can get an offroad one.

BTW.. Jim, Justin.. I'm laughing my ass off! Great stuff guys!! To tell the truth it is 500ft away and i have to disco lights programed to flash at just the right frequency to allow the date rate affect.. I flash it and play the ice cream tuck music then they come over and black out and wake up in a alley never knowing what happend!!

    JK!!! Good stuff guys!

I moved innto Brittany point! I love it!! If you were gonna be gone for spring break i was gonna say come over for St. Patty's day party! But you're busy! So just let me know when you're in town and we'll chill and drink a few brewski's!

ICON's all the way dude!! I would get some if i was already scrapping for money! I wanted those bumper so bad i couldn't see straight but now it's back to reality.. I spent the money so no more high roller for me! But it will be worth it in the end dude! Just go for it and and you'll never regret it! Just make sure if you're going with a 3.5" lift you get a diff drop kit.. Your CV angles will be horrible!!

I'm going to be replacing my bumper soon but it's red... If you want get a quote from your insurance and i'll sell it for Half of what they quote or even maybe less! LOL! I can't do the tailgate though!

I'm putting mine up for purchase hopefully soon! I'll drive around bumperless for a while if i have to!

BTW!! I've been extremely busy this past weekend so that's why i haven't been on much!

I bet you could find a tailgate on ebay if necessary. Looks like the entire bed might have to be replaced. Check for cracks in the composite bed and check the underside for frame damage.

Nah there insurance is paying, im not buying any used parts. Brand new tailgate, bumper etc. I'll demand brand new if they attempt to get me some used part, but I doubt that will happen.

It's a good deal, for sure. I thought about doing it instead of fixing my leaping leepers, but I can't justify it. If this was a year ago, I would get the icons for $880 instead of leaping leepers for $500, for sure.

I'm glad to hear that. Everything I see shows the Icons are good, but when dropping that money, you don't know if people like them because they spent a penny on them and need to justify it.

Anyone have anything to say about the Light Racing UCA vs Total Chaos. I'm thinking I will go the Uniball direction (Total Chaos) instead of the ball joint (Light Racing).

Have a look at Built Right UCAs, that's what I have. TC uniball at LR prices. Changing my UCAs was by far the shittiest part of the lift install though. You have to pull that 10" bolt out.

My eyes are all blurry from reading through that damn thread. If they are still at the 499 price, I will concider them. Need to call the guy and see what the current price is.

    Did you install yours?

Yep, did all of my suspension. Like I said, changing out the front suspension is pretty easy except for getting the UCA bolts out.
