Did you verify that there was power AT the fuse, or did you just visually check the fuse?

So, my track day is Saturday, and you tech yourself. Went over things like a good boy scout, removed centercaps, OK, great... WTF? That's right, friends, somebody replaced one lug nut on 3 of the wheels with a regular hex nut from home depot or something.

Unless this is a lug nut that is open-faced...? That's a thing, right?

Actually, I had to get new tires a month or two ago. Surely firestone wouldn't let me leave without real lug nuts, right? I'll pull it off to make sure, but probably somebody just had some open-faced lug nuts lying around?

There's definitely such thing as open face lug nuts. Usu it's for people running steel wheels on extended studs for non-track purposes or something similar.

Yup, I think it's good to go like it sits, just ghetto-looking. Who the F puts 3 different kind of lug nuts on one wheel (if you notice, the top lug is different from the other 2 capped lug nuts).

    Awesome.

I will get a set eventually, the issue is that I didn't notice until tonight and track day is tomorrow. I think they're good though.

It's good man. They're all torqued, it's fine. I'm leaving straight from work to drive to Christina's parents' house, and then I need to be there at 7am tomorrow morning. It's not just changing them, although I don't know that I can jack up the front with my floor jack, I think it's too tall. It's also that I don't want to go run around hunting down lug nuts when I have limited time today because I need to get out of here to start driving. It's good.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
I do. When I've got 3 jeeps getting worked on at once in my garage, you usually end up putting back whatever bolt you can find that works.

And yes, almost all of my lug nuts are open faced now because my impact broke the shell off them.

I'm way too OCD to mix and match lugnuts.

Also depends... on the miata, I don't want it to look even more like a ghetto beater than it actually is. I doubt I'll care on a trail rig.

He didn't look like he was packing so I probably could have done that
