Alabama thread!

I put them on. Just seemed like it needed a little something to break up all the silver. I love the color though. Had a super white 2011 DC that I put stripes on also. Maybe old school but I like. What I would like to do is find the FJ wheels that I have on there now, in chrome. I know, nobody likes chrome. But, like I said I am old school. I got the pinstripes from Advanced Auto and it takes about 30 mins. to do both sides. Back in the day, pinstripes were painted on.

 

Totally agree! Not to mention lack of power and mpgs, I'll be sticking to used if/when I decide I need another truck.

That's what I think also. Between the rear and frint doors it's alot of gray that needs broken up somehow.

 

Hey guys. Brand new around here and just bought my first Tacoma. Thought I'd introduce myself as I have on a couple other threads. Maybe I'll see some of Yall rolling around town. I'm from bham. Here's my truck. Had it about two weeks now. Had tires and hub centric spacers put on a few days ago.

I have been looking to get back in a Tacoma for the past month or so. I regret ever selling my 2011 last of the speedway blues but I also wish I had gotten it in 4x4.

I agree with you on the 16's and I am not a fan of the front end either. Some say they look better in person and lifted but I have seen a few 16 TRD's rolling around town. I like the new tailgate is about all the positives I can say.

I have been searching for one of the last of the 2015's in Magnetic Gray or Silver (TRD Sport 4x4). Haven't had any luck finding one close by. Most are up North or West of us. Currently working with a dealer in St. Louis to work out a deal before driving 7 hours to sign some paperwork.

Just curious to what you paid if you don't mind me asking. A couple of the dealers I have spoken to that have what I am looking for are quoting me $34k-$35k out the door and others are anywhere from $36k-$38k. I may just have to pay that in order to get a '15 instead of possibly being stuck with a '16 and try to fix that grill. My search continues.

 

I ended up paying right at $30K. I bought it on the last day of September and it was the last one the dealer had. They really wanted to get it off their lot.

 

Ok guys, I am looking for a 17" spare with TPM. I sold the 16" wheels that came on my 15 OR. I installed the 17" FJ wheels that have TPM in them. Just need to get a 17" spare. Do any of y'all know of anybody that has a 17" spare that they are willing to part with? Thanks in advance.

 

I had the pleasure of camping over in your state last weekend and I have to say, y'all have a beautiful place over there. I hit up Talladega on Saturday & Sunday but camped at Mt. Cheaha. Great views. 10/10 will return and check out more state parks in Alabama.

 

Any places in Georgia you would recommend?

Vogel state Park offers cabins, RV, semi-primitive and primitive camping, lake & beach, waterfall, Appalachian trail up to Blood Mountain, Helton Creek Falls, Brasstown Bald, river tubing, fishing, scenic railroad all relatively close.

Well I have exhausted my search for a '15. They are all 6+ hours away and no one is talking sense. To add on top of that I would need to get a deal I can live with on my trade in and I won't know for sure until I drive the 6+ hours for them to appraise.

So it looks like I will be hunting for a '16 instead. Now if I can get pass the big grille I don't know if I will stick with Mag Gray or go with Inferno. Not digging the Blazing Blue.

For those who have seen them in either color what do you think in person? I have yet to see any other color except Silver and Blue on the roads around here. Bill Penny has a Black one as a demo I hear.
