Alarm/Keyless Entry for 2007 Tacomas

Ok, I've been reading on here for a bit, and I've found a couple of threads about the keyless entry and whatnot on "2nd Generation" Tacomas, but I'm unclear on a couple of things (or maybe I'm just stupid and it's staring me in the face, which is at least equally possible).

1. Is there any way to make the truck "chirp" when you lock/unlock the doors with just the basic keyless entry? I think this is going to be a no, but I wanted to ask.

2. If there's not, what will it cost to get it to do this (I know localities vary, but a round figure is fine) if anybody has had it done?

All of this depends on what alarm/keyless system you have. There is the Toyota stock keyless entry, the VIP alarms (multiple), and others... I only know about the VIP alarm systems through Gulf States Toyota (Distribution). I posted a "how-to" about it earlier today. Check it out here...

From what I've read....you can't make it beep for keyless entry. You have to install the factory (full) alarm.

I'd be curious to know what the alarm gets you ...other than what the keyless entry does already - and of course, cost.
