Alarm Systems? The Likes, The Price, The Model!!

Looking to get an alarm for my truck but want to know what you all have and how much it cost? Also what you like and don't like about it.? Planning on getting it tomorrow but don't want to get ripped off locally from the audio shops!

 

im looking for one too right now i think im going with a viper remote start cause it tells you up to a mile if your alarm is going off. at work the other day my friends truck got broken into but was able to stop them cause the remote told him it was going off. but its around 700 installed

 

ive heard that the part about it telling you the alarm is going off is good, but i garuentee that you will almost never use the remote start especialy if you live in the south

 

oh...never thought bout the ac... i leave my windows down all the time when its not raining

 

I have a Viper 1002. Great alarm, depending on how sensative you make it a small tap will set it off. I got it like 1/2 price off Amazon. and it was like 150 to install. The thing has pretty good range too.

I ended up getting the Viper alarm but going to go back tomorrow to change the sensitivity a bit more

 

You can't change the sensitivity yourself? I know nothing about car alarms.

 

I've always ran Clifford in all my ride and never had a problem. Currently running a Clifford Concept 400 in my Tacoma w/ IntelliStart automatic start. Motion sensor not shock.
