Lol, yeah, there's a bit more to it than that, but that's the gist. Takes a few days to do it properly. Not something you want to rush at all.

Didn't drive. Actually no, I got one working the first day hahahaha. Super late night but I managed it. If you start early enough, like if we actually did a while mod DAY we could knock them out I bet. Biggest thing is allowing proper setup time for the sealant and bonding agents. That's where you're fighting the clock. Paint you can speed up by baking. That's the easy part. Aiming properly is what takes the most time I think.

I was on round 7, they're moving through those things! Andrews a standup guy and they have fantastic customer support. We could really knock these out if people jumped on that bandwagon, you definitely won't regret it with all our darkness up here.

Yeah, I put the FX-Rs in mine. I'd be willing to help. I might even take mine apart again one day and paint the shrouds white. Gonna put some projectors in the fogs when I get home next time too and wire them to my low/high. Have the parts, just need the time.

Careful curing by baking though, I put one of mine in the oven too soon after spraying and have a little dull spot where the paint softened in the oven or something. Showed up after I baked them to put them back together, so I left it for now.

No problems with fogging by reusing the factory glue though. Trusted that more than trying to clean it out and put a new bead in, as both sides were coated with the original glue.

Always thought white shrouds were cool looking. Contemplated Doing the whole thing color matched 040. Still think it'd be pretty cool. There's a guy on here with white shrouds. Definitely unique. I know I'd be getting the eyelids so I opted for black for the contrast. Fxr stage 4 kit is what I got. Biggest and best of everything. It requires the most modification though. The morimoto are almost plug and play.

No fogging on mine either. I just added more glue to what was existing.

That uses different bulbs than the D2S right? I was worried about melting the glass. Gonna change all the bulbs to LEDs just for that.

I'm going through mine as well. Trying to find white dtrl's. I THINK it's still the d2s bulb. I intentionally didn't get the 55w because I had heard it melted lenses pretty frequently. And honestly with my 35 watt I can't imagine what 55 would look like

I've been waiting to get in on the projector GBs since round 7 or 8 haha. Just didnt see the need to do it over the summer up here. I'm probably going to get in on this round as an early graduation gift to myself though. So I'd be up for a projector mod day :D

Sweet! Never done a first gen but the principles are still the same. Ask tons of questions of Andrew at trs though to make sure you get the right kit. Not sure if a stage 4 fxr will fit a first gen.
