We'll have to do a transmission/cut all of Kolton's front end up party soon haha. I apologize for not getting to shoot the shit more. We seemed to be at different ends of the group all evening.

Well... did Spring Creek today and came home with a little bed side damage. Apparently it piss pounded in Idaho Springs late last night and there wasn't much evidence of a storm until we got over Obstacle 1. The rest of the trail from that point on was an eroded, muddy, greasy bitch. Had to pull the winch out on Obstacle 3 and that's where we encountered the damage. The rock garden was pretty nasty too... lots of getting out, finding a line, sliding off, re-positioning, stacking rocks, repeat. Amidst all of the slow moving and burning clutch, I had a fucking blast and I'm glad my co-worker Dillon was there to help, as we ran the trail solo today.

I picked up a new (to me) camera early this week and was itching to get out and put it to use today. Still getting used to manual focus and pretty much how the cam works entirely, but I'm stoked to not rely on my phone for photos anymore; and so, here is a massive photo dump. I'm going to practice cleaning up photos from here on out, but all files are as they were shot, no editing...which will be obvious to anyone that knows how to run a camera :cookiemonster:

Here's a bit of GoPro footage from the trail. It's chopped up and doesn't really depict the difficult portions of the trail itself, nor do I have any good footage from the Rock Garden. We were moving very slowly through that section and the only clip I have is 10:00min of being hung up on the same spot.
    Anyway...

Sony Nex-F3. It's a few years old, but I picked it up from someone that seemed like they fell on tough times for a smoking deal ($150). It's perfect for someone like myself that has no clue about cameras, and it's a hell of a lot better than my cellphone.

Sounds like a good reason to move to the best state to be in.

How close are you? I was young so I have no clue what's close other than Denver, Pueblo and a few other towns. I'll be in downtown Springs at Phantom Canyon one day
