Are the frame plates up next, Austin? I might see if I can lend you a hand and check that out if you don't mind.

I'm hoping to get them done soon. With the weight on the swingout, the bed flexes quite a bit right now. Anything in particular you are wanting to check out?

The whole process. I want to get mine done before the rear shock relocate. And I've heard that stiffening up the rear of the frame really helps when you're dialing in shock valving. I'll be working on that with @TMFF at some point hopefully, and I want to make sure everything is good to go.

Get 'em, your frame twists more than you realize without 'em! We opened up @alee891's tire carrier last night and I sighted down the bed line and compared the top of the tailgate to the front bedrail, and holy twist! It'll get a lot better with the outer frame plates.

Makes me want to plate the inner side, too.

I expect it to be #EAF and #epic.

    Wait, epic AF.

The process is quite simple to my knowledge, just clean up the frame, tack the plates then fill them in.
Maybe we can schedule a day with @3378jakesr5 to meet at his place and get them on soon. I plan on going to him for the welds - just need to get a date setup.

It's big for sure haha. I like the looks of it, though. Just bummed that I recently put all of my stickers from 2016 on my new toolbox. Should have saved them for the tank to add +5 expo points.

It is "simple" if the person with the welder knows what he is doing.

Welding a thicker metal plate on the paper thin frame can get tricky; easy to damage the frame

I trust in Jakes welding. He's the one who built my front bumper, welded my sliders, welded the new pieces during tubbing, welded my spindle gussets...
I'm not doing the welding. Don't have a welder nor the experience that he does.

    Oz!

Jake @3378jakesr5 is a good dude, and wicked skilled at welding. He'll be doing my sliders and possibly my frame plating/boxing and rear shock relocation.

And maybe a spare carrier that I'm designing... :spy:

Yeah, I figured it would be pretty straightforward.

Maybe I'll see if Jake can weld on my sliders while we're there...
