If you have a lot of money laying around that you're not attached to...go for it. They are decent systems I just think they're way overpriced.

You can build your own much better and much cheaper than alienware. The case and pretty lights might be hard to match though  ;)

alienware used to be the best gaming cumputer that you can buy, but in recenty years, their quality has really suffered. i bought an alienware about 10 years ago and it kicked ass, however, both my mom and my wife had bought alienware computer within the last 5 years and the computers went to shit within a year or 2.

i just stick to dells now. they seem to be decent.

My buddy has mx11 and mx15. Both he says have been nitemares. Just recently sent them in because the vid drivers weren't playing nice with win 7.
He got it back and there are major scratches down to the metal.

Hey. I'm a hardcore gamer. Use to play semi-professional.
I didn't get the blue ray which I don't really care about and my rez is only 1600x900 (the jh series).
I run all COD including black ops to an external 24 in monitor, run my 24 in iMAC next to it and my toshiba sat for chat.

Everything a full 16x anti alaising and antriscopic filtering and this thing does not stutter. And thats not even overclocked.
It's amazing. Lemmee see if I can find a pic of my setup.

Sorry, didn't mean to poop in this thread.
Just suggesting that Alienware nowadays just isn't that great of a machine compared to whats on the market for way less.

    Thx Matt. :)

We have one.... It's old and my husband uses it for his vinyl cutter (software).

It used to be his main computer for many years - but he's since upgraded.

I'm guessing it didn't impress him enough to buy another one. He runs a Dell now as his main computer.
