I am going to put a 2” spacer lift on the front end of my wife’s 5th gen 4Runner to level it out. I really want to do the kit myself, but the cheapest, best and most convenient shop for an alignment is 250 miles away. Am I going to regret driving that far before the alignment? She has bfg ko2’s and I’m not planning on messing with much besides the Lca to get the strut out and back in. When I did it on my tacoma the alignment wasn’t THAT off. I know it sounds ridiculous but it’s $100 price difference and I have to drive that 250 miles this weekend anyway.
(PS I trust you guys more than the 4Runner forums, I haven’t had much experience with them)

    Reserected from the dead.
250 miles isn't gonna hurt the tires. You will notice the difference in steering more.

If you are that worried about it, just do a quick alignment at home before taking it for the real alignment. There are youtube videos and posts here about DIY. If I remember correctly, it will be toe that will be most out of whack.

I thought about that, the one video I watched required a special gauge that I don’t have. I guess I’ll look at more if you’re saying it’s doable without it.

Watch the video by Kflo. It is for a Tacoma, but should be similar if not the same on the TR4 I would think?

Make sure you mark the position of the alignment cams on the LCA before you loosen them. I recently installed spacers on mine and haven't gotten an alignment yet but I plan to eventually. I've driven probably 150+ miles so far and my tires still look fine.
