So if you decrease caster on the top wouldn't that increase clearance? Just thinking here...

About to install Fox 2.5 C/O's and SPC LR UCA's with 285/75r16 STT Pro's.
    Should I:
adjust the caster all the way to max positive caster with the LCA's and
set the UCA's at 2 degrees before I go get an alignment?
Will I run into any issues by doing it this way?
    I'm wanting 0 camber, 0 toe and 3.5 caster.
I want to do as much as I can, without doing the entire alignment myself, before I take it in so the tech has to just do fine tuning.
    Thanks!

Since nobody answered me I winged it. By doing the above ^^^^ I got 89.7* & 89.6* of camber ( DS +.3 & PS +.4).

Yea...seems like he is saying the same thing I was. I think you need to put it in the +2 nuetral position and see what they can get. I am betting they get it damn close. If not then do what he did and take it back one setting to get more clearance.

Yea...if the nuetral position doesnt get you the clearance you want. So instead of 45* to the front it would be 45* to the rear.

But wouldn’t that still mean where central tire had it turned all the way it would of gave as much clearance as possible?

Yea, but them having it turned that far there is no way that they would have been able to get the right amount of castor. Which would still give you rubbing.

I adjusted the caster all the way to max positive caster with the LCA's and
set the UCA's at neutral (+2 degrees) before I got an alignment. It gave me the most clearance & shop said it was 4.4° caster left & right.

285/75r16 but doesn't matter. Getting the most clearance is getting the most clearance & an alignment doesn't care about tire size, either. By adjusting the LCA's for max caster, you're pushing the tire as far forward as possible.

One place told me with it in the nuetral position they could only get 1 degree caster with the lowers all the way forward.which doesn’t sound right

That's really odd. Go somewhere else or do it yourself. Adjust the front cams all the way towards center, rear cams all the way towards outside, put SPC in neutral position (+2*). You should be at 3.5* or greater unless something is screwed up. They may have adjusted ALL the cams in or out or backwards (front all the way out and rear all the way in). Even without SPC's you can get 1*+ caster.

Proof of what I'm describing works. This is mine from doing it in my garage (the BEFORE) and then when the shop changed it just a bit (the CURRENT):

So if I had a alignment like that it would steer good and have good clearance?

Thanks! It really is easy reading the guide in the sticky above. Only money spent was on a digital angle finder.
