got my flip key the other day, took the blade out of the housing and got it cut for $5.

registered the remote, then promptly realized I had to register my existing remotes too, so went through that process again.

10/10 would buy again if I had to.

Got a Lexus sample today with Lexus logo. The quality of the logo is very high, it's got a 3D look to it, not flat like the logos I've gotten before. Let me see if I can get some Toyota 3d logos mailed.

that would be a neat upgrade. I know I just placed my order for my keys but would love to get the case to swap it out if possible one you do get them in!

Case? It's just a logo that goes into the key.

I still grin every time I use mine - no issues whatsoever , including remote unlock distance .
    Huge thanks !

ah, ok. well I'd be interested in the logo when available.

got my all in one key and flip key from the OP. home depot would not cut the key as they said they've had too many automotive ignitions get damaged from their machines cutting the key and to go to a place that uses an "old style" cutter. three home depots told me this. went to a local hardware store and got each cut for $1.99 each.

I programmed the buttons using the provided instructions on the OP's site and was good to go on first try on my 2015 Tacoma no issues.

Now just need to get the immobilizer programmed on both through the dealer @ $75 each or through the locksmiths who quoted me $90-225 each.

90 to 225 each? $75 each? Wow!! I suggest people start reviewing businesses who try to rob you on their Yelp page. This will only stop these idiots who try to take advantage of people. Keys are cut, remote is programmed... Programming your immobilizer chip should take no more than 5 minutes for both keys.

So that locksmith is trying to charge you a minimum of $180 for 5 minutes.

you need to drive around and find a locksmith thats on a lunch break. Not call in to the call centers. Or go to one of the places and work a deal.

or, just buy the toyota key programmer off ebay.

I prefer my method if it's ok with Neneago - sent him the spare key and everything comes back done . Just had to program the remote locks , which was an adventure since I disconnected the stupid key sensor in the ignition lock - plugged it back in and got the programming done easy enough .
Still happy with the flip key , just saying...

i'll see if I can leverage this information to get a better deal. the cheapest was the dealer @ $75 each and they seemed completely confused by the idea of me bringing in my own key, haha.

the locksmiths around here don't have offices or business locations; they are strictly "come-to-you" type businesses otherwise I absolutely would.

the Toyota key programmer off ebay or Amazon is for either the 4c or 4D chips. i have a G chip so it will not work. I wish it would otherwise it'd be on it's way to me right now.

G keys are impossible to do remotely. You have to connect computer to car. So unless your driving your car to my shop or shipping your car to me, it will not work.

called around to a few locksmiths and best I was able to negotiate was $90 for both keys (the AIO and the flip key) to get the immobilizer portion done. he'll be by in a few hours supposedly.

I'm having trouble coding my all in one key. I bought a techstream cable from ebay, tried it and I get a message saying voltage needs to be above 8v, or ignition not on. I did the onboard cable test on techstream and it shows 2 pins being bad on the cable. I'm ready to abandon the cable and possibly buy the smartkey maker just linked. I read the instructions on the ebay listing and they say you need to master keys. I only got one black key and one grey key with my truck. I'm worried I'll waste money on this one too.

I also can't program the fob. My truck won't enter programming mode. Under a techstream code test I have an active trouble code "b2780 push switch/key unlock warning switch. I'm not sure if this is my problem.

Make sure the key BEEPS when it is in the ignition. That was my issue.

monkiboy, I know plenty of LS in DC area. Well, glad you worked out a deal you are happy with.
