I want one of these for my 2012 DC short bed at cab height to hold kayaks. What height is best to request? Won't be until warmer weather.

Mine is 18.5" in the pic above. It's just slightly below the cab. I think standard is 22" (might be wrong) so for kayaks id say 20 so you can just clear the cab

Is it possible to get a custom order of bed rails, only 2 bars at a specific height and 2 connecting bars at a specific length? Trying to set up a custom rotopax mount system just behind the cab without a full bedrack. 4gallon fuel just behind roof line up top, with 2 gallon water on each side. So 2 crossbars 14-14.5" apart to perfectly house some rotopax inbetween them, then the 4 gallon up top width wise just behind the roof line. Whatcha think? Could we work something out?

Can you put 4 accessory rails on the pack rack?

I dont see any reason why you couldn't. The middle bars would just overlap but still bolt on fine. But if you have s short bed there isnt much use for 4 bars because anything you put on them is way longer than the bar anyways if that makes sense. Heres mine you can see even with a 2nd set of bars it would do me no good

Very nice setup! what did you use to mount the HI Lift?

Yea I have a long bed and was hoping to get the rotopax cans on both sides on the rear portion and shovel/axe and HI Lift on both sides on the front portion.

The accessory bars have weld nut inserts already so i got a threaded stud and some wing nuts for the hi lift. For the shovel i used quick fist mounts attached using hose clamps cuz i didnt wanna drill into it. See pics

But even with a long bed you wont be able to fit a hilift/shovel AND rotopax on the same side. You'll be lucky to fit 4 gallons of rotopax on the same side. This is a pis i found online to give you an idea. But that's not an AP rack its custom i think

I'm on the fence for a Gear Rack & I need a pair of accessory bars. A GB could be the catalyst I need to spend the last of my tax return

I knew that truck looked familiar.... :D, That is in fact an All-Pro rack but all the mounts were custom made. You could get the hilift above the Rotopax but would be more on the top than the sides. I mounted mine on the inside along the bed-rail with a shovel, axe and fire extinguisher on the opposing side.

Checkout this link for more details about the build and its parts: http://www.keyboe.com/mainsite/beast.html

They just mount to the bed rails. There inserts that slide into your bed rails and this bolts to the inserts
