Picked up the non-divided one from Wheelers during the BF 15% off sale for $170, normally $200. I was thinking of buying one from Amazon called Hooke but the reviews weren't so great and people had problems closing the tailgate due to the hatch being too thick. This one had the same problem.

I suspect that the All Pro one is made by the same factory that's making the Hooke one since the price is the same at $200 and I had a hard time fully closing the tailgate and it took more force on the handle to open and you can tell/hear that there was much more tension on the latches. This was easily remedied by removing some material where it contacts the rubber bushings with a 3/4" forstner bit. I also suspect that this is just HMWPE, and not UHMWPE like the $300 Mountain Hatch ones. The outside long run edges are chamfered but the inside edges of the cup holder, slot and the 4 bolt holes in the middle were left untouched and they were rough and mildly sharp, I had to hit them with some 200 grit to knock off the harsh edges. All the bolt holes lined up so no problem there. Packaging was great and there was no damage during shipping.

Is it still worth it? For me, I believe so as it only required a few minutes of extra work to fit correctly and some sanding to knock off the harsh edges. It does everything I need it do at nearly half the cost of the Mountain Hatch one. You can still feel some flex when standing on it but much less than the factory one and it doesn't hurt your butt when sitting on it for extended amounts of time or when you're kneeling down on it.

So if you're think of getting one, just make sure you're prepared to put in a little extra time and work.

I ordered and installed the gray HDPE version on the 2009, and since then All-Pro Off-Road has added a red option. It was a straightforward installation with removal of the the perimeter screws. The difficult part was figuring out that the original plastic liner has a stub that requires lifting up the tailgate top trim higher to slide the liner out of the top. The HDPE liner slides in smoothly, reattach the perimeter screws and try it out on the knees climbing into the bed. Definitely easier on the body, and I have since used it as a cutting surface with the utility knife for the installation of HushMat sound deadening insulation in the doors (without damaging the surface). I've been sold on the durability of HDPE pipe for years (4", 8", and 32" used at a salmon hatchery in SE Alaska, and the smaller diameter waterlines at Cordova, Alaska's small boat harbor.)
Trail Gear's family of companies including Wheelers and All-Pro Off-Road often have 15% discount sales... (I also added their bed stiffeners and aluminum front IFS skid plate.)

15% off sale November 11-29, 2022, plus every time you open the site a 10% discount on your first/every order pop-up window appears. Four options for color are available today: black, red, gray, and black-white-black (The first three options are sale priced at $169, BWB about $50 more).
They've obviously listened to feedback and refined the product for a "very simple, very easy" install.

I ordered a set of Bilstein 5100 shocks a couple weeks ago (price increased 5% in the week from order to delivery!), and today ordered a pair of Wheeler's front strut mounts to add to inventory (and a pair of Trail Gear mugs for gifts, as long as it's all coming UPS Ground).

Happy Veteran's Day! Did you know that Veteran's Day was changed in 1966 from November 11 to the first Monday in October by federal action? 46 states refused to comply, and the federal holiday returned to November 11 in 1978. Thanks to all veterans and their families!

Got mine, took less than 10 minutes to install. It’s worth it so far especially if you use your tailgate a lot for food prep, etc. I highly recommend them. I wish I would’ve waited a little bit to get the red color.
