I'm about to pull the trigger on an Off Road Taco. There are several available around here. One has the upgrade in the title. Does anyone here know the brand / size / type this gets you? I've looked online and even asked 2 dealers.....

The OR has always come with 265/70R16 Goodyear Wranglers. You'd have to post the link to us to know more, but it might be a tire that the dealer installed for a silly cost.

I’ve never of such thing. It might be specific to that dealer or region. You might have to ask them. I can almost make out the lettering on the tire in the picture. I think it says Goodyear which probably means that it is a picture of the factory tires.

My 21 OR came with 4WD and Goodyear wrangle Kevlar's...which sucked. They've since been replaced with KO2's.

$719 for predator steps that are more less for looks only? Yikes. I didn’t know those were so expensive. I paid about $1000 for my mobtown off-road sliders.

Those in the picture are Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires. They will be 265/70/16. Goodyear says they are priced at $215 per tire ($860 for 4), so what Toyota has listed is actually cheaper.

HOWEVER, a set of 4 Wranglers with Kevlar sell for $712 and come stock on TRD Off-roads. So they're throwing in better tires but also charging you full price.

Yes. I've got a '10 Sport and a '14 O.R. 4WD. I'm tired of replacing wheel bearings and CV axles.

No rocks to slide on around here. I was hoping those things might keep limbs and such from jumping up and hitting the bottom. This isn't a special order.

I hear that over and over on here. In what way do you think they suck?

I’m running the wranglers currently, but I also have a set of Dick Cepak LT255/85r16 extreme terrains (M&S M/T) as well. While the Dick Cepaks have obvious advantages in mud, deep snow, and rock gardens, the wrangles are superior on the road. They ride better, make less noise, have less rolling resistance, and have comparable traction on pavement, shallow snow, and ice.

I have never run KO2s, so can’t comment.

Well, they aren't letting you have the Wranglers that you could make a few $$ with selling. And, a lot of folks opt for 265/75R16s just to easily max out the tires size. So, I would vote that you're losing on both ends?

Small detail but I'd rather have rubber floormats than carpet. You can vacuum them for 1/2 hour and never get all the dirt out

Good one, but the OP will not have the Wranglers in hand to make some money if he swapped them right away. The dealer now gets to do that. Worth at least $200 to $300?

The $849 tire upgrade is kind of a rip-off, when you consider that you're not getting the other tires too. The other tires should be a quick $400 sale on Craigslist/etc.

Just my opinion, but I think it's more expensive to buy a 4x2 than a 4x4. You get all the money back at the end. At current inflation rates, it's a profit.

This one has $1500 worth of "offroad" accessories in lieu of the real $3000 offroad accessory that actually works.

I didn’t know carpet was an upgrade. I have to the plastic ones and they are constantly full of goo.

I like the rubber ones that came in my 15. I can wash them with the garden hose in 5 minutes
