The Toyoguard Platinum seems to be a bullshit extended warranty insurance type add on that every vehicle at every dealer around here gets. I tried to get it removed, none would.... One told me that he might be able to on a special order. The gas thing is standard too.

    What's a baxter filter mod?

The 2 wd O.R. has a diff lock, that's why. I have 2 other 4x4 trucks and 4 wheelers if I need them. I'm tired of replacing front wheel bearings and cv axles. My trucks get driven through harvested cotton and corn fields. Stalks tear the hell out of the cv boots.

    All car dealers are shady.

    Thanks

Toyoguard comes with an exterior paint sealant, interior protectant (I believe) and 2 extra free oil changes. No warranty addition.

"Extended Warranty Insurance Type" meant that you are paying too much for something you probably won't use or need.

I just wanted to clarify for those who are in the SET region so they don't get confused or misled. You may not use it or want it, and that's perfectly fine. I just want others who may be looking to know what they're actually getting. That is all.

Figured it out. The upgrade gets you Duratracs. The standard O.R. tire is a less aggressive G.Y. I know it's a rip off.

Especially since they should have went to a 265/75/16 Duratrac.

About to pull the trigger on some duratrac's and not sure on the 265/75/16's over the 70's. Any significant performance benefit of C rated over the SL rated (6 ply vs 4)? 2 lb weight difference and max loads are about the same. Of course the +1" diameter looks better!

Not gonna lie, the main factor for me, was the looks. The 1/2" extra ground clearance was a bonus. But these have been great as a weekend Warrior, and more importantly a great winter tire. C load just made sense as I have no desire for a heavy E load. Didn't think it came in a SL????
