Well, it seems clear JDS wanted to prove he could power strike with FG. One huge sloppy miss and oh crap, it’s over.

Yeah. Don’t turn your back to a monster like that. I really thought JDS woulda been a little more cautious.

His approach to this fight couldn’t have been dumber. He is the more technical striker yet it seemed like he also wanted to show he was a better power puncher. If this was part of the game plan then it was a terrible game plan.

And I was wrong..lol good for JB but sucks for JDS. I’ll have to try to watch replays since I didn’t get to watch anything.

I watched an interview with him and they asked if he was looking for the takedown to which he replied “that would be the safe fight. I wanna put on a show and win in spectacular fashion” He then went on to say that “if the takedown or submission presented itself he wouldn’t shy away from it but he wanted to try and knock him out “

Bad idea. He should’ve known better. Maybe play the outside for the first two rounds and then try to work some technical striking on the monster once he tired a bit. That reckless shit he was doing in the first round was careless and costed him the fight. I think 71 seconds in and he was done.

His game plan was just awful and staying outside and using a nice straight jab to find his range until Francis tired would be the way to go. I also wonder if those huge leg kicks got his attention and he felt like his legs would be gone after a few more so he tried to knock him out. Either way his plan was a bad one and he paid for it. I like JDS but just as you think he is going to get back on top he either does or allows something stupid to happen. The big question is will DC stick around to fight this guy?

At least JDS didn't get flatlined in the ko. He was up right away. Could have been worse.

DC is a competitor. That’s the only fight that matters to DC anymore. I bet he goes back again. Personally, I think jones got his number. But DC wants that win more than anything else

Yeah man I feel ya. I’m not a jones fan. Dudes the greatest fighter that never really was imo. I’m definitely partial to DC all around. But Like I said, I think jones got him figured out

Watched the fights, at least I got entertained, thought JDS would fight smarter too, just dumb plan on his part.

I can't figure out why people like DC, that guy is shady as can be. Lost all respect for the him when he was noticeably lifting himself on the towel they put in front of him back at UFC 210 and his excuse was he was tired, didn't notice he was doing it and was worried about being seen. Even high school athletes aren't all that worried about someone seeing a little flesh, a pro, no way. Just my opinion, doesn't make it right for anyone but me. As for Jones, I am not a fan of him as a human being but I do like to watch him fight.

I think Jones or a money fight with Brock would be the only thing that makes DC fight again. Honestly, I thought DC was winning that fight but just got caught. I think DC truly believes he can beat Jones so it wouldn’t surprise me to see him try to run it back.

Yeah I thought DC looked really good until that head kick. I would watch them fight again.

That’s not saying much. I watch all the fights. :anonymous:

DCs towel incident is practically non existent to me when next to the piece of shit that IS Jon Jones.

Jones is a habitual fuck up and a cheater.
But the dude can fight and brings a financial draw, that’s why ufc bends over backwards for him. Similar to Conor. It’s all about the money.
