Cormier/Miocic was the best fight. Was a kind of underwhelmed by the other ones. Victories by decision are kinda anti-climactic.

 

And a spectacular come back always makes things exciting

 

I was convinced DC was going to walk out with the belt again despite my prediction after the first two rounds. That adjustment stipe did was equally as good as Henry cejudos comeback fight recently. Absolutely incredible to watch.

 

Same here. I stayed quiet on predicting the outcome but felt all week that DC has been too distracted while Stipe has been fuming, focused, and training just for this moment. DC was too busy doing interviews, commentary, and worrying about whether or not he fights Bones again and this all led me to believe that the hungrier (and more focused) lion would once again would win.

 

That belt, and all the PR that goes with it, gets mighty heavy. Trilogy?

 

Seems weird DC gave up in take downs and wanted to fight like Diaz. He's usually smarter but great fight.

So here's a thought. Had DC kept his hands low like he did in the prior rounds, do you think Stipe would have thought or been able to execute those body shots?

 

I’m not sure. I think SM ripped one to the body randomly and got a reaction so he ran with it until he got the hands to drop then went up top with the right. Got the finish

 

I missed everything. I’m just catching up now. As long as Diaz won that all that mattered ..lol

Great fights! Diaz looked killer. Smart man calling out Masvidal. Diaz aint due a title shot after one comeback win but Masvidal fight will pay a fortune and fast track him to the front line.

 

ESPN+ is awful, the only way I could get it to work on my tv was through my laptop, since they have it so you can’t use a lightning to hdmi adapter. That said, I’m so glad I went through the hassle of calling them so I got to watch this card live.

I haven’t had that much fun watching a card in a while.
