My friend, Khabib is truly a different animal. He is our modern day GSP. Good grief he just never stops. This cat is different but what about Tony?

 

Tony is a different animal as well with his odd movements. I can't wait for that match. I just don't want to see MCG vs Khabib again.

 

Tony is as unique in his own way as Khabib is and has cardio for days. I’ve always thought he had the best chance. I truly don’t want Conor to get the next crack and think Khabib might turn it down. Then again, that is a far easier payday than Tony.

 

The thing about Khabib is he does everything perfectly every time. He doesn't make mistakes often. Getting caught in a guillotine was one of the few mistakes he made. His defense of it was textbook. He's just so damn good at what he does. Like I said upthread, his fights are "boring". Unless you understand the ground game and how perfectly he executes it.

 

i 100% respect what khabib does and this fight he did finish but god damn if im not bored. Yes i understand his grappling is great and hes textbook, I just want him to retire so that division can be fun again. I mean cowboy and ferguson, gaethje, mcgregor, and even dustin all bring more PPVs and more eyes. Khabib fights one time a year and its a snooze fest each time especially since about 90% of the russian fighters all do sambo and thats it. WHICH it owns but its not that entertaining. Im way more excited for masvidal vs diaz and the recognition of people that like to bang and entertain.

 

I somehow think it will not happen. I think the “fix” is in as they say and Tony gets screwed again in favor of another McGregor payday. I hope I’m wrong but I also wonder if deep down Khabib really doesn’t want to fight Tony. I think Khabib will take the Conor fight and try to lure in a GSP payday and call it a day. In the end this guy does what his dad wants and his dad wants him to retire undefeated. If he fights Tony that might very well not happen.

 

Tony or GSP is the only thing that makes sense for khabib. Personally I’d much rather see the tony match

 

I agree that Ferguson is the best fight for Khabib. As far as the GSP fight goes. Khabib has made it pretty clear he wants GSP to fight at 155 and the UFC to donate all the proceeds to charity. There's a slim possibility that first thing could happen. There's zero possibility the second thing will. lol

 

Tony really never got screwed. Khabib pulled out of the ultimate fighter finale in 2015 and ufc 209. Tony pulled out of ufc fox 19 and ufc 221 and was out for almost a year. They have had 4 shots at fighting.

Not sure what sort of glory Khabib thinks he'll get fighting gsp 10 years past his prime. Still gsp one of the best but if khabib wins it will be passed off becuase george is getting old and not fulltime train and fighting.

 

Khabib said in a pre fight interview that he wants tony. Tony is the fight to make. We’ll see what happens.

 

Lol. Khabib wants to donate all the proceeds from a GSP fight to charity. That's kinda the reverse of a money grab. I like him as a fighter a lot. He never talks shit. He just shows up and does his job.

 

That’s a fact for sure but not getting the shot this time would be getting screwed in my opinion, but it certainly won’t be the first or last time that has happened. Hardcore fans want to see this fight but Conor and Khabib will get more PPV views and that might turn out to be the deciding factor.

 

He just beat up a guy in a pub for not drinking his Proper Piss!

 

He hasn't fought since getting completely embarrassed by Kabib. He is also dealing with some legal issues to keep him busy. No fight booked and I hope he doesn't come back- too much of a circus.
