Will be interesting to see if McG ends up making it to UFC 200 since he is no longer "retired." Not that it will matter as I just don't see him beating Nate anyways.

I'd much rather see McG vs Edgar. Wrestlers are not as entertaining to watch, but Edgar has been knocking mofos out lately so that would be a killer fight to see.

If McG vs Diaz isn't the main event at UFC 200, perhaps they would try to do Jones vs DC II. Another great match up would be Lawlor vs Condit II. I had Condit winning the first war (and it was most definitely a war) so a rematch should made asap. I still can't get over their first fight. One of the most exciting of all time - top 5 in my book.

Two days after tweeting that he had retired as a fighter, in which he wrote in all capital letters, "I AM NOT RETIRED."



He also noted that he is open to fight Nate Diaz at UFC 200 on July 9 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and to fly to New York next week for a news conference at Madison Square Garden to promote the fight.

But by refusing to come to Las Vegas for a 2 p.m. PT news conference that will be held at the MGM Grand Garden on Friday that UFC officials insisted he do, McGregor did not satisfy all of the company's requirements. On Wednesday during an appearance on Fox Sports 1, UFC president Dana White said McGregor was off the card because he was already missing so many things that needed to be done to promote the event.

Friday is not the first day of promotion. All of the fighters are here right now. Ten million dollars is going to be spent on promotion and the commercial alone is going to cost $1 million. He’s already missing stuff so the window is pretty much closed.

After making his offer to fly to New York, McGregor said it was the best he can do.

If this is not enough or they feel I have not deserved to sit this promotion run out this one time, well then I don't know what to say.

 

Make Lawler vs Nate Diaz happen, if Lawler beats Nate it could set up a rematch down the road with Nick once he's off suspension.

 

Agree... the guys asking to take diva McG's spot are too much for Nate. Aka Dos Anjos, Tyron Woodley

 

I'm not so sure about all of that... the Diaz bros come to scrap. Doesn't matter who the opponent is.

 

Nate is 6'0 and walks around at 185 and Robbie is 5'11 and walks around at 190-195.

 

I read somewhere that Lawler's next opponent is Tyron Woodley and that'll take place at maybe UFC 201 or 202, they're still undecided.

 

Bellator needs to match MVP against better quality opponents. Would like to see MVP vs Lima happen.

- Mighty Mouse made it look too easy. I don't see anyone coming close to beating him for a long time.

- The Bones/OSP fight was meh, but one guy took the fight on 3 weeks notice while the other hasn't fought in over a year. I know DC is licking his chops after watching Bones' underwhelming performance.

 

Very very disappointed in OSP. Thought he'd put up more of a fight than what he did. Oh well.

DANG. Now I feel bad criticizing the guy. I take it all back then. Take guts to hang in there and still finish the fight.

 

OSP held in there like a champ. He is a solid fighter that is very athletic, but he doesn't have the technique and skill level that Jones possesses. He also hasn't fought as many 5 round fights as Jones.

 

Almost time! Bummed out that Anderson Silva had to pull out but still a stacked card regardless. I hope Souza beats Belfort! And I've never seen Cyborg fight before so I'm looking forward to that fight as well. And Werdum, hope he retains the title.

 

Been a pretty good card so far. Main event up next. I think Stipe beats Werdum by KO.

 

Just curious what Belfort's gameplan was gonna be against Jacare. He threw 2 flying knees and barely any punches from the feet, then decided to pull guard when he was against the fence. WTF
