Crazy. It was his private plan that he used to travel in all of the time.

Yup. I heard the nurses talking about it and thought it was a hoax. I read his 13 yr old daughter was on board as well as his former teammate Rick Fox.

Wow, I knew about the daughter, which makes it even more sad, but didn’t know about Rick. Bummer.

They’re now reporting that Rick was not in the chopper, FWIW.

    I missed everything last night.

I saw the other threads regarding cowboy and CMG. IMO, cowboy’s WAR mentality is taking a toll on his fight IQ, mentality and chin. It’s easy to say that cowboy just wasn’t there but when you’re always fighting and not fully recovering from fights it’s going to take a toll one way or the other. I think it’s just a combination of his always ready to fight attitude, the length of his fight career and slow deterioration both mental and physical health.

I was rooting for Cowboy of course but i would've thought that Cowboy would at least last 3-4 rounds. I honestly and i still do believe Cowboy has more tools that CMG. But I'm absolutely not going to deny CMG's fight IQ and skills.

Now that it's been a week since Cowboy vs. Conor (no disrespect to Cowboy because I'm a fan),
but I just find it laughable that Conor is getting so much praise for beating someone that wasn't even ranked at 170.
Show me another fighter that beats an un ranked fighter then get's so many accolades, jumps the line to title shots, main events, etc.
I think the UFC loses credibility when they play favorites, not to mention that it must suck for the fighters that are putting the work in for top ranking or a title shot.

If Cowboy was only one loss away from calling it a career then how does a win over him earn Conor so much respect for finishing him ?
not to mention that if Cowboy would have won he definitely wouldn't have been offered a title shot, it probably wouldn't have even changed his ranking.
I'm just beating a dead horse and venting here, but this kind of shit didn't happen in the early days of the UFC so it's just fucking annoying that this is how it is now..

One of my favorite fighters is The Korean Zombie (un like M-Chiesa last night), he's equally dangerous on the feet as he is on the ground,
so you never know if you're going to get a stand up war or a crazy submission, like when he landed the first twister in UFC history. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fk2J8_M094g&t=39s

Ngannou vs Rozenstruick march 28th. Heavy hitters right there. I dont see this going past round 1. That should set up a title shot.

Have to agree, CMC puts asses in seats.

For reference, I've seen a few of the PPVs at Buffalo Wild Wings in Hanover, MA over the past 2 years. Some of them include Rose vs Jessica, Nunes vs Cyborg, and others like it.

Each time I was able to stroll in at 9:30 and have my pick of more than half the tables in the place. This time, I got there at 9:00 and the place was so packed I had to stand at first. My niece had arrived at 8:30 and the same, but a couple of nice folks shared a table with her and her boyfriend..they also made room for me and I was lucky to find a couple not using a chair at their table. 9:30 they stopped letting people in the place, I had gone outside to smoke and almost wasn't let back in before the hostess walked me to my table, found it as I described, and confirmed with the waitress I'd been there. On top of it, this is the first time I've gone there in really bad weather

Cowboy just signed a multi fight new deal before the Conor fight. He definitely wasn't about to retire. Watch his interview https://youtu.be/FwEeQWAe4T4
No retirement talks. He talks about loving fighting and fighting more.

    @SellyKlater, BTW great screen name.

I'm a big fan of Cowboy and I hope he's around for a long time, my comment was in response to someone else saying that "Cowboy should call it it career after that performance".
I think a lot of people felt like win or lose (especially lose) that the Conor fight could be Cowboy's swan song, not that anybody wants to see him leave.
The point I've been trying to make is that a young gun beating a vet shouldn't be a fast track to a title shot, (even though Cowboy's no joke), beating a top contender should be the only way to a title shot.
Petr Yan recently beat Urijah faber, Korean Zombie recently beat Frankie Edgar and last summer Michael Chiesa beat Diego Sanchez - it definitely doesn't make any waves when anybody else beats a vet.
I get that Conor sells fights, but I feel like it upsets the natural order of things (in terms of rankings), if he takes 2-3 years off and cherry picks fights, then picks up where he left off.
