So Conor fights Khabib deservingly since he had the belt and didn't actually loose it. Looses to Khabib, comes back after a year and fights the number #5 guy and destroys him. In your opinion what's Conor need 1 more fight? If he walks through Justin? The only guy ahead of Conor is Dustin and he already smoked him. It's not like Conor is ranked 15th. He's at 3 right now.

BTW. Urijah wasn't even ranked, zombie might get the next title shot, and beating Diego Sanchez isn't even close to cowboy.

The fact that Cowboy was a top ranked lightweight should be irrelevant because that fight wasn't at lightweight.
How does beating Cowboy as an un-ranked welterweight get Conor back to a lightweight title shot ?, in my opinion it shouldn't.
Most people just want to see Conor fight someone dangerous, since Khabib vs Ferguson isn't till mid April he won't be fighting the winner of that any time soon,
and since Conor clearly has no interest in fighting Kamaru or Masvidal the UFC already booked that fight for early July.
I actually find it very funny that Dana had to announce Kamaru vs Masvidal so soon since fights for May or June are not even scheduled yet ~
Obviously I don't believe Conor deserves a welterweight title shot either, but lets just make sure that the two most dangerous welterweights are booked well in advance so that there's absolutely no chance that Conor will have to face either of them this year <---------sarcasm

 

So who should Conor fight at lightweight that's worthy? His coach said they'd take Gaethje at 170. I'd bet money that if either Khabib, Tony, Masvidal or Usman pull out Conor fills in.

 

I agree with that 100% i wanna see Gaethje smash em. He is very underated. Should have way more hype. Great fighter

So your thinking maybe a Dan Hooker? Or Paul Felder? The top 10 at light weight is pretty weak below 5.

Valentina beat the crap out of that last girl so im pumped too.
Reyes hits so hard. Small chance he could take it but Jones can change up the game plan so fast and mess everybody up.

hey guys first time posting in this thread and I had NO IDEA that there was an mma thread on TW! good LAWD I may have found my new home. Was way into it back during TUF1 and unfortunately lost touch during school and some military time, but got back into it pretty steady around 2016 (missed the early run of Conor, but saw the Eddie fight). I've been to 3 Live UFC events now and buy most of the PPVs if not watching somewhere with a buddy like Twin Peaks. But I gotta be honest, this card kinda seems like a dud for a PPV right?? I mean jones is carrying it but damn. Was at the MSG card for the BMF title and kinda felt like we were robbed there of a BIG NAME fight. that being said, with all due respect (and don't hate me guys). but this Reyes dude is a straight dullard right? like he has the personality of dried toast.

Honestly the last great card I can remember buying was the night that 3 titles changed hands: Thug Rose humbled Johanna, TJ Killashaw stole the soul outta Cody, and GSP put Bisping to sleep- now THAT was a stellar card. Do we share any links for streams in here? I'll likely be driving home after doing some side work about 3 hrs away and will prob be "streaming safely" while driving back. My ESPN+ should hold up with data plan but I think the main card starts at 10Est/9 Central?

I'm like you man...was big on it early to mid 2000s. Joined the military, lost touch, and got back into it 2014/2015 around there.

 

Hell yeah man! I've been watching the embedded's and for some reason it just does NOT feel like a Jon Bones Jones fight week! Hopefully tomorrow with the weigh ins and everything it'll feel more hyped. the card does seem a tad lackluster too. but hey we have 8 straight weekends of events so i'm excited for that! love me some LFA as well on fridays

 

Good ol Matt! One of the greats for sure. Mine was Tito who got me into it.

For sure doesn't feel like it. Probably because there's no big drama around it. We got some great cards coming up for sure.

It's a decent card. Top to bottom, I think it is better than Cerrone vs Conor. Two title fights and Derrick Lewis is always entertaining. I hope Val gets another awesome KO like she did againt Jessica Eye. That headkick was a thing of beauty.

 

Hughes was a good fighter but if the things in his biography are true, he is a piece of shit human.
