I was re-watching the Jon Jones arrest and something that I didn't even notice the first time I watched is, the first thing the cop asks him is if he's been drinking ? and he says yes,
then they proceeded to give him a sobriety test. Aren't sobriety tests intended for people that deny that they've been drinking ?
In other words, was it even necessary to give him a sobriety test since he already admitted that he was drinking ?

 

There is a limit. If you're under it's legal. Hence the test. Just cause he's drinking doesnt mean he's over. Even if he is obviously drunk, they need proof. Also the charge depends on how much over you are. I got a more severe charge a long time ago because I was almost 3x the limit.

The sobriety test, helps prove they are under the influence of something besides alcohol where a breathalyzer would be of no use.

 

Just saw khabib is off the card. He's lockdown in Russia. They are looking for replacement to fight Tony now.

 

Rogan said this fight was cursed. I guess it is. If Dana's smart he pulls Tony from the card and reschedules the fight ASAP.

 

It seems like Dana is so full steam ahead on this fight card fighters prob feel obligated to fight. Sucks

 

Not to be obvious but they are in the fight business. Just like so many other companies, big and small, they have to operate to make money. This is a tough one because they could fight without an audience. Then again, I’m hearing guys saying they are having a hard time just getting to train. As for JG filling in, I don’t look for it. He is smarter than most think and he generally insists on a good camp for a fight. He is not generally a short notice guy.

 

I called this shit two weeks ago. Then when I saw that Khabib was supposedly going to finish his camp in Russia I new he wouldn't be coming back.

 

I also thought that move was suspect. There is a reason Tony is called the boogeyman. I’m not saying Khabib in any way dodged him but I also bet his feelings won’t be hurt that this fight doesn’t happen.

New UFC 249 main event: Tony Ferguson vs. Justin Gathje

 

I’m surprised he took this fight on this short of notice. This is not the best matchup for him to begin with and he usually insists on full camps. I’m a huge fan but taking a fight against Tony on short notice may not be the best move.

 

Not too excited about this card yet..
I think it's going to be kinda weird for the fighters without the energy of the crowd, kinda like having a Slayer concert without an audience..

 

I believe Gathje was slated to fill in as a backup so he has been training this whole time... I am a big fan of both Tony & Justin and don't want either to lose, as I think both have what it takes to beat Khabib. Nonetheless, I am just excited this card is proceeding forward, and is a stacked one at that.
