Another big takeaway from last night: ESPN needs to keep Stephen A. Smith, Max Kellerman, and Teddy Atlas off of the broadcasts. They have plenty of talent to put in front of the camera without having those clowns in there. I get that Kellerman knows combat sports, but he admits that he does not like MMA. Atlas was awful when they went to him and Kellerman on the mezzanine after the card ended. Smith is just a tool and knows absolutely nothing about MMA besides what he researched before the fight.

Apparently so. Dustin wants it, Dana mentioned it, and of course Conor wants it.

I can’t believe Moutinho was still standing when the stoppage happened with how many shots he took.

I want to see Gaethje fight though. Haven’t heard a peep about his next fight

 

I know Dustin wants it, I just hope he gets a title shot before he does the 4th fight. I would hate to see someone else jump in front of him for that.

I went to BWW for the Conor/Cowboy fight..same location as I always hit. I can stroll in at 8:30 usually and have my choice of places to park my ass. That fight, I arrived before 8 and the place was packed..and shortly after me they stopped letting people in at all.

 

I don't think we'll see another Conor/Dustin fight. With the amount of time Conor will need to take off for an injury like that, the whole division will have shifted around. By the time he's ready to go again, who knows what it'll look like. Also, Conor seems like he's either in a serious rut, or he's just past his prime and on a downslide that ends in retirement. I'm thinking it's the latter. The last person he beat was Cowboy, and as much as I love him he probably shouldn't be fighting anymore.

 

yeah, Kris Moutinho is one tough UFC fighter, wish the ref let the fight finish with only 30 seconds left, Kris kind of reminded me of Justin Gaethje.

 

I’m with you. Let the kid finish the fight if he can.

 

I'd have loved to see it finish, but I understand why Herb stopped it. Remember that the ref's singular responsibility is to protect the health of the fighter. We shouldn't really want it any other way either, else we end up with another Yamasaki.

Have you guys watched "The Warrior" on youtube (it's a free movie) with Tom Harding? It's a pretty good MMA movie

 

It's on my list of movies, heard it was pretty good.

 

Dillashaw was just on Unlocking the Cage with Jimmy Smith...when asked about the doping/cheating and the circumstances around how he got caught, he said, "I'm a smart guy, I'm not an idiot."

Much as I hate to say it, I've got TJ on this one. I don't think Cory has the speed or experience to overcome TJ. Heart says Sandhagen, brain says TJ.
