I've got my 2008 Taco on order from a dealer about an hour from me. Got a great deal after months of research and about 5 different quotes. It's supposed to be in any time now. Just waiting for the call. I feel like a new papa pacing in the waiting room. Where's my cigar dammit?

Great forum here. Glad to be able to finally join.

I heard from the dealer yesterday afternoon. My truck is supposed to be ready for me to pick up after 3pm today. :D:D:D
I won't get there until about 6pm but then it's official.

On a funny side note: many of my friends have called me Taco since late 2000. I never even knew it was the nickname for the Tacomas. Now it fits even more than the original meaning, but that's a story for another day...

Our TACO is in the driveway and was a great ride all the way home. Most excellent.

I wish it was just that I had that much patience. We had to sell my CRV first. I loved that little Honda but I was pushing it to its edge with towing and couldn't haul dirt, mulch, etc. It took 3 months to sell it because I wouldn't fork out the money for Autotrader. Craig's list and flyers finally got it sold.
I used the time to get more quotes since we had already decided on the truck in the previous months before listing mine and gotten one quote that I didn't think was too hot. Local sales manager was "giving me a real deal" at $31,890, plus tax, title, tags, etc.
Funny how some places want your business and others don't.

What're DRLs? I tried searching but didn't see what they are.

Are you sure............. With the truck running, parking brake released, and the head light switch to off...are the two orange lights closest to the grill on??? NOT the head lights!!

Yep! It's listed on the detail sheet from the dealer as an included option and we went out to make sure this morning.
