How does coaxials and components sound running off just the 50x4 watts from the radio.Has anyone used the Alpine KTP-445 add on and compared the difference?

It's not just in the HU alone it also matters on your amp. If you amp them correctly of course the components will sound better more clear sound. The rms on that unit is awesome. It's one of the Units that higher the most rms vs pioneer 22x4. Sony 17x4.

I have infinity components on an hifonics amp and pioneer HU and not to brag but Damn they sound Damn good... I crank it and it still sounds clear.

If your looking to get that unit, lmk I work with onlinecarstereo.com

Crutchfield has the rms on that hu at 18rms.

OP Do you plan on running an amp? Can you link us to your amp? There really is a lot of difference between amped and non amped. If you don't want to amp your speakers look for some that have a high sensitivity, 95+dB is good and can be found for around $100. Speakers can sound great running hu power; but don't expect the hu to run its peak 50w.

My Kenwood fried the stock speakers in my old S10 and I mean fried I was rolling down the road and smelled smoke and saw the speaker on fire through the grill in the door panel poped it off as quick as I could and put it out.
