Yours are rubbing in the same spot as mine were. I tried to heat it with a heat gun but it didn't turn out good. Then I tried cutting the buldge out...also didn't look right...hence me cutting off that whole portion that bolts inside the wheel well.

Ohhhh. I see. So you basically made the mud flap thinner by cutting maybe 1-2 inches off on the inner side?

If you plan on going off pavement you might want to remove them or your tires will remove them for you :D.

I have a 2009 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner 4x2. I have 265/70/r17 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZs with Mo951 Moto Metal Rims. I want to remove the mudflaps because i think it would make my truck look taller. However, I hear removing the mudflaps will eventually lead to chipping paint. I was wondering what y'all thought....is removing the mudflaps worth it?

    Too few to list.
I don't have BFG's but I have the same tire size (NTG 265/70/17) on 17x9 wheels with -12 offset and I have no rubs whatsoever on the flaps with 5100's set at only 1.75". If I remember correctly, my casters are set to 2.1. I did have to trim the front liner though.

Did you find a solution to this? I am having the same problem but want to keep my mud flaps.

Took the front mud flaps off and no more rubbing. Im going to try and do some trimming on the mud flaps so I can put them back on and ill post pics later.
