Hey guys, I just joined this forum a couple days ago after I bought my first Tacoma about a week ago. A 2006 TRD Sport quad cab. My battery indicator started going on intermittently a couple days ago, and would go off when I revved the engine. Now it's on constantly, so I popped the hold and took my multimeter to the battery. I'm getting about 12.1 with the engine running and off.

Do you think it's the alternator or is there a fuse I can check?

If the charging system is dead, I guess I be making a call to the dealership on Monday.

That's a good idea, I'm wondering if it's going to be worth the trip. or just wait until I can take it in since it's still under warranty

could save you time... the kid at autozone can check it in minutes vs. 1 hr wait or more at the dreaded stealership
