Am I alone in liking the OR/Sport grille in its stock form?

How about an $89 custom car grills mesh? Better than plastic.

That leaves the chrome trim, if you add the unpainted trim to the mesh and pay shipping you aren't far off the Pro price point.

Without a logo added the mesh allows you to see through and it looks off and "vacant" imo.

If you have $500 to drop they have some nice customs though, and they are more unique.

Add some letters for $40 something then.
And Paint or dip that trim piece. It's such a small part of it, no one would notice the difference. Unless you're wanting your truck to be show worthy or some shit.

I like it just fine. Does the pro look better, sure. Maybe if I pay off all my loans, send my kids to college, and find 400 bucks on the street I would get a pro grill.

I didn't like the chrome but wasn't about to spend $400 on a piece of plastic. Shot it with some bedliner ($9.00) and it looks awesome.

The stock grill is fine for people who like it!
Personally I think it looks better on a Kenworth so I changed mine. The Pro grille looks great on darker colors imo . But for my super white I went for color matching bezel and da mesh.

I felt the same way. After someone mentioned electric shaver, that's all I could picture.
And I just don't really like chrome.
    :notsure:

    Changed the grille today.

    Stock OR grill?

Love it!! See no need or benefit to change it.

    On to the next thread.

    2nd.

I don't necessarily like the look of it (a whole lotta chrome on a truck with very little chrome) but I am not spending the money to upgrade. I was going to paint/plastidip it or something, but I know me and I know I'd make it look like hell. The cheese grater look is staying.

I like the stock grill because it screams "I'm not an old Tacoma".

The stock grill is tolerable to me... I'm a fan of the TRD grill as with everyone else and their grandma's but to each their own. I don't have the money saved up for the TRD grill yet, but I am going to put the TRD grill badge on the front once I get it in. ;)

I don't have a problem with the grill. Yes it could look better but mine doesn't really look chrome any way it has a grayish tint color not chrome.

My truck is SSM and the stock grill has the same tone on the curved parts helping to knock down the flash. The Pro grill isn't great and is too expensive IMO. I will be watching future grilles though...

Pro grill looks better IMO. Sr5 grill also looks decent. I like the BAMF too
