Am I doing this right?

So something has been bothering me a lot lately. When I walk outside to my truck in the morning, I see a bunch of water beads on my hood and the car parked next to me is completely dry.

My neighbor's car looks neglected. I am guessing it has no type of protection and water just doesn't stick.

I'm starting to think I should replicate this behavior and remove any coatings from the Tacoma.

Sick and tired of water spots on my hood.

I think coatings are great when you're always driving your truck but I work from home so it could be a few days before I really need to go anywhere so the water beads become detrimental just sitting there in the sun.

    Thoughts?

Although you may not like beading, it's one sign that your paint is protected. If you don't protect your paint, you may have more serious problems down the road.

Remove coating so you can remove any protection from your paint? Is this a Friday thread?

This. Please don't take stripping agents to your vehicle just to eliminate beading.

What’s bugging me is, you not getting off your butt and giving it a quick wipe down so it doesn’t spot.:rofl::eek::annoyed::boink:
