Am I the only one that thinks PRO grill is totally cheap/fugly?

    The Pro grill is objectively, pretty awesome :p

    I’m sure Toyota knows this through their focus group surveys. They must have made a mint off OR and Sport owners, before all the knock offs showed up.

    It wasn't until I read this thread that I realized the surround of my grill is chrome:

    Personally, I like the stock grill. I'm not dissing the pro grill, but the geometrical pattern of it reflects me. I've never been a huge fan of the Toyota logo but don't hate it enough to care.

    .... of course, now I'm thinking about Bertw192's before image where the grill has a black surround.... I like that one better.

    I don't currently have the part #, but you can order it from a dealer. The surround is a single piece and runs about $90. Some people also paint or plasti dip. I wanted a permanent black, so I ordered one.

    IMO the 3rd gen Pro Grille has too much plastic, its huge and sort of an eye sore! I like the 2nd gen Pro Grille much better.

    Thanks... I am looking into that because I am not looking to do a bunch of modding, but I am not a big fan of shiny chrome.

    It's really easy to do. Just go slow, use needle nose pliers and don't force anything. Ask questions if you need help. There's another thread dedicated to the swap, not sure if I can find it right now or not

    I'm happy with the 2018 TRD OR/Sport Grille. I wasn't too unhappy with the 16/17 grille either because in certain lighting it looked much darker than that what it was. As for the Pro Grille, I'm not very impressed with it. I think it looks too busy with too many design elements incorporated. I think this aftermarket mesh-grille is an improvement and more tasteful.
