Am I the only one that thinks PRO grill is totally cheap/fugly?

    if any '18 sport/OR owners have their old grill lying around, let me know. i just want the emblem. i want to see if it's possible to remove the clear cover so the chrome "T" can be painted/wrapped. i didn't want to destroy mine, so i need a guinea pig.

    I'm curious if anyone has plastidip'ed the emblem on a 2018 OR? I derp'ed the surrounding grill but had reservations about the emblem since the TSS sits behind it. I seen a 2017 OR completely blacked out and it looked awesome!

    I'm glad to own a truck that I really like.

    Bought it new 12 months ago and I still like the looks of it just as much now...or more...than the day I brought it home.


    Tacomas have a wealth of aftermarket parts and can be customized really nicely. It's great that we have many options.



    I'm all about the grater grille. Painted it and put some horns on it.

    A time may come when I want to change the look some....easily done.

    Now, if we look carefully, we will see that this grille is not actually chrome like so many people have spouted throughout its lifespan. This is actually a smoked gray color with the surround in chrome as stated in the official Toyota brochure..

    Well, yeah it would be like those graters that are half one type and half another type, depending on the output you want. So both grills, end to end, make one dual-purpose cheese grater! :D

    For 400 bucks, I'm with you. But for a 80 dollar knock off that looks the same, that's another story. When I removed my off road grill and replaced it with a pro, my truck went from having a big gaping open fish mouth, to a mean looking nose. I just prefer that look. But for 400 bucks, no thanks.

    The SR5 grill looks good. I wouldn't change that. Really just the Off Road grill I don't like.

    Chrome is for classics, not new trucks. Looks friggin cheap and too goddy in my opinion

    Yeah! If the offroad grill had had no chrome and said TOYOTA, that would've been sweet.

    people just like the pro grille because it's currently the "best-available" grille on the market in terms of aesthetic. There will be a much nicer grille eventually (like that one dude who made his own custom recessed grille) but I agree people are raving about a big chunk of plastic
