Lol they are in their green full electric and hybrid cars. It doesn’t effect them as much, that’s why they vote that way.

I hear ya about corrupt states...I'm from Illinois, where our past governors make our license plates! Our Governor from 2 terms ago, had a 20 minute phone call(recorded) with JB Priztker, the guy that just won(both Democrats, btw) where they discussed Obama's left over senate seat from a few years ago when he left to run for POTUS. In their conversation, Priztker and Blogoevich(then governor, now inmate) discuss several jobs that Pritzker would be interested in all while Rod is asking him for cash to make it happen. This all aired DURING this past campaign! HE STILL WON!!! I live 275 miles south of Chicago and the only votes that count in this state are the ones inside Cook County. This is a red state with a blue patch in the NE corner... It is a shame, really.

    Rant over...

Yeah, I get more like 15-16 mpg. Hook the camper up and I'm more like 10 or so.

First post for valid reasoning!!......Moisture, especially between cold and hot weather conditions. Water in the tank is the devil in aircraft; can make conditions like engine missing in vehicles. Water causes corrosion/rust in the tank as well.

No way man, this tank is tiny. I have to fill up twice on a 200 mile drive while towing. Definitely going with a big gas tank on a half ton next time I upgrade. Ram's got a nice 33 gallon tank for the 1500, and that seems perfect....

Lol you get 5 mpg? Um no. Towing 6K I get 11 mpg so that's once every 200+ miles, which is 3 1/2 hours driving. Again, gotta pee and stretch around then anyway so might as well get gas.

Was driving from Colorado to Dallas the other day and I got caught between some of those panhandle towns, pretty sure I pushed it (without having to push) as far as it could go!

They make an aftermarket 34 gallon tank for 'overlanders.' That might help you.

    Impressive!

However, pretty sure that gas station’s pump is calibrated to their favor. Question is by how much…

On another note, I guess worrying about hauling trash from the bottom of the tank thru the fuel system or running the fuel pump dry and maybe causing damage is a thing of the past now a days, and good to know.

I definitely need a new plan since I seldom drive it past 1/4 tank. I'm such worry wart! Worrying about the above, plus getting stuck in heavy traffic or accident at a 100* heat or freezing temps and needing to run the engine lol!

    To the new unstoppable Tacoma!

    Cheers!

Did a partial test myself yesterday.
Also noticed during key on,...the low fuel light doesn't glow like the rest (guess its less important)

By doing a little reverse engineering,...at the 1/4 tank mark...you still have 4.75 galons left in the tank before the light comes on ( 2013 AC OR).

So doing a little gorilla math...at the 1/4 mark you SHOULD:fingerscrossed: be ok for 150 miles to the next fuel stop.

So I took the time to ACTUALLY read the code of conduct rules COMPLETELY.
And if I understand the rules as prescribed...(btw , I fully endorse and agree with )...

    HOWEVER,

Sensorship of anykind is the beginings of totalitarianism (aka communism).
So If I talk about using an Android App (wait thats advertising right?), that happens to by my " gas buddy", this is out of bounds?
And so sharing some insight on how to make the Tacoma Experience better, actually life better by saving money is out of bounds?

    Lets review the rules...

    I didn't mention sex....so I'm ok there...
Didn't mention color, creed or religion or a political view,...so I'm ok there...
Did'nt poke another member or flame anyone...so I'm ok there...
Didn't try selling anything in a devious way,...so I'm ok there..

So as an automotive professional , I can share how to bypass anti-polution systems and get 20% better fuel economy, but thats ok?

I'm just trying to get my head around the censorship on the fellow that said a negative comment from California about the Liberals being crooks?

Now had he said ALL governement parties are crooks ,..he would have been ok right (no favoritism).

I'm not trying to be a smart (***) , just trying to figure out how the watchers of this site equate our posts as being ok.

I want to end this post on a positive note.

If we cannot say what we want without using common sense, and I've been on the web since its inception.
Other members will ask to have a post removed,...because the mass of people here on this site use common sense.

We have a " like system" others click when they like what I say...
    How about a " inappropriate " button...

Obviously the gas price post became off topic,...but that is what sites like this are all about..
    Here's another brainy idea...

Lets add a link on site called " todays gas price in my town"..

That ain't food for thought ,..its food for my Taco

    Just say'n

Interesting that to make your point you changed “cock sucking liberals!!!“ to “Liberals being crooks”.

Well that was fun. Are we in agreement that the tank is 21 gallons? Fuel is more expensive in some places vs others? Fuel economy is reduced while towing as well as going up steep grades and really reduced when towing heavy unaerodynamic objects uphill?

Hopefully none of those revelations are worth getting banned over. Let’s head back to a vibration discussion.
