This. It might actually be a good buy if it's a reputable manufacturer.

Manufactured by Warren - so probably the same oil as Wal Mart's SuperTech or darn close. Wal Mart is still about $1 cheaper ATM.

Anybody else find anything creepy about Amazon literally selling everything under the sun?:anonymous:

They're going to drive everybody else out of business and then they're going to be the only place left where you can find anything. And then, guess what? The prices are going to go up!

Maybe we should spread our money around a little ya know. Keep some other options in business so they'll be around later on down the road.

    Sorry.. end of rant

I have been running super tech full syn 5w30 for awhile now and it has been fine. Keeps the engine just as clean as mobil or Valvoline so why pay more if the stuff is practically the same? It even has corvette racing spec on it.....enough said

When it comes to oil I just get whatever is on sale. They all protect the same.

After the $12 rebate and finding the Mobil 1 synthetic oil on sale, I ended up paying $12 for a 5-quart jug. Why not stock up then and save even on the Super Tech Synthetic oil?

Amazon pantry, pea pod by giant (most groceries here deliver now), subscribe and save toilet paper, CVS pharmacy delivery (cheaper than retail store for the 90 day supply). You could probably get bulk gas delivered too if you got the proper tank but at that point you might as well work from home and then where have you got to go to burn gas?

I'm not saying you should but just about everything really can be delivered these days. If you've got a telecommute job you could literally hardly ever leave the house

I think in the future like you stated above it will only increase with the ease of online shopping. For disabled people or those too elder to drive, but want to keep their independence I think it's great.

My wife delivers all those things, and more! It's amazing to be so lazy and feel great about it.

Yes and no. For those that need it or want it I suppose it's great. I'd rather live in a world where the elderly and disabled are loved and cared for by friends, family and neighbors. Not because it's forced on them by guilt, holiday spirit, or second hand by government program distributions of taxes, but out of love and community.

The modern conveniences are great, and I use the hell out of Amazon Prime myself so I can't complain I guess, but I also support local business when I can because community matters.

What you just stated is something many people including myself would hope community could be. The reality is you have many households with both parents working, with everything that goes with that, long gone are the closely-knit communities. Some people are left with the choice of a retirement home or finding help outside of family, friends, and the community, getting food etc delivered keeps them independent. I sometimes imagine a Utopia where everyone works together without loneliness, hunger, war, etc.., but till that day we take help where we can find it.

I'm surprised a little this is a market. I figured that number of people who change their own oil is fairly small and they'd be brand loyal.
