    Diving is popular in Seattle despite the cold water (mid 40s right now). I want that knife for it's blunt-tipped blade shape. It is less likely to puncture my inflatable boats or paddleboard should I drop it. And it is badass.


    Sorry Cody. If it makes you feel better, I fondled the 950 at a store the other day, and bought the folding tool kit.

    I have yet to see orcas in the wild. I did see gray whales when I was a kid, they were right in front of our houses on Salmon Beach (the little community I lived in). My dad was afraid they were going to knock down the pilings our house was built on.
    Last year my lady and I saw a shark while fishing in our inflatable boat near Deception Pass. It was pretty humbling; cold water + small boat + agile shark seemed pretty wild. We retreated to safer waters and crabbed the rest of the day.
    Today I thought for sure I had seen a whale right out front. I grabbed the binoculars, but it turned out to be a big lazy sea lion.

    I've seen Orcas probably 20 times , a couple times the whole pod went right under our 16' boat , pretty cool

    We have a seal that pops up out front several times per day. We call him our "water dog".
