As a new home owner, a little part of me would die inside every time I drove my 2007 FJ to Home Depot to rent their truck at $19.95 an hour. I loved my "truck" and it looked awesome, but it just wasn't functional for home projects and the fiancees furniture acquisitions.

After selling the FJ last week, I picked up a 2WD 2006 Access Cab with matching LSII topper at 13,200 miles. Price was 15,000 even, which I bring up only to see if you all believe it's a good deal- - I would welcome any comments from ya'll as to whether this was in fact a deal, or if I missed something. The ONLY gripe I have about the truck is the Auto Mate "Model AM 1" alarm installed by the previous owner. It's a pain in my ass and it's coming out soon.

I'm hoping to keep this truck more functional than toy (like the FJ), but I'm definitely looking at some comfort upgrades:

    - In-Dash Media/Back-up Camera- I loved the FJ's backup sensors; they saved me more than once. I'd love to get a touch screen system (resembling the OEM CD/Radio) that relays to a rear camera. A CD changer, iPod howyaduin, and BlueTeeth would be great too, but I'll be seeking out the backup camera

    - Seat covers; the Wet Okoles sound great, but with Tampa's heat and humidity, I might be looking for a different option. If any Floridians have suggestions, I'm eager to hear what's working for you.

-Limo Tint; a must not only because of heat issues in Florida, but also because I grew to love the privacy of tinted windows when driving the FJ.

Alright, thanks for getting this far, and I look forward to learning from ya'll.

I made the same move. Tacoma is more useful but the FJ is higher quality.
