So now you got me looking at at least getting the ls460 ( not r )
    Projectors.
My mini d2s keeps getting stuck in bright. So. Might as well.
All is really need is new projectors right?

You're going to have a very difficult time with anything other than the "R" version of the LS460, honestly. It is almost a perfect fit in this housing with the modifications, but without, it would be a nightmare.

Oh yes. It's the best of the best and it's also much more able to fit in odd places: my Subaru, 4Runners, FJ Cruisers, now a Crown Vic!

I'm really wanting to do the ls460 but I am a little nervous to spend all that dough on the lights and projectors and screw some thing up on the retrofit. How difficult is this retrofit to do.

It's not much worse than an FX-R, honestly.

And if I can do it, anyone can. Take the headlight out, bake it, I use 250*F for 10 min, and pry the lens off after removing the 3 Torx screws on the outside edge of the light. Unscrew the bucket from the adjusters, this takes time, as the adjusters are long. Use an 8mm socket if you can. Test fit the projectors, to see where you need to cut. I used a 2" hole saw on the opening, and cut down with a dremel where the motor for the highbeam controller goes. You can use JBWeld to hold the projector in place, and four long bolts with jam nuts to secure for a shake free fitting. Let everything set up, including however you're going to mount the shrouds to the projector, I used JBWeld, and it's held quite well. Bake the lights again for 10 min, and use clear silicone sealant as well. Squeeze the lights back together, and put the 3 Torx screws back in. All in all, to get this done right, it takes a day to do, but the payoff is worth it.

That was for FX-R projectors, and I'm really happy with my results. Much better than stock lights. Don't forget to aim them when you get it all back together, or you may be blinding oncoming traffic.

Not for LS460R parts, unfortunately. Only Stage III kits.

Whats better, ls430 or ls460? What has the best beams? I know the 460 is Bi where 430 is a LBO

Yes absolutely. In fact, the picture at the top of the page is for a second pair I'm making for a customer along-side mine. Please email directly at andrew@theretrofitsource.com and I'm glad to provide pricing.

LS430 is probably slightly better because of the reflector on the bottom, but I'm just a fan of how the LS460 looks in the housing--nothing like it!

I couldnt agree MORE! I wanted the best Beam so I have the LS430s, but there are times I wish I got the LS460 just for the peace of mind of having High Beam, (even though I probably will HARDLY EVER use it) and also I have the philips 85122+ is it worth paying a extra $200 to get the CBI's or is it too slight of a difference to upgrade(bang for your buck i guess is what Im trying to ask) ?
