I respect and admire her for going through the procedure. It has reduced her chances of breast cancer from 85% to less than 5%.

I don't necessarily care about hearing about her and/or Brad every other week for whatever reason but this time is the exception. I respect the informed choice she made based upon her own personal genetic history and knowledge of what chances she had to face same destiny as her mother. It also goes pretty far to help other women facing a similar possibility to find the courage to take the same self preservation actions.

Full rebuild short of machine work, mean green motherfucker! Lime green block, hand-polished valve cover, and stickers! Too broke for real mods right now. Stonewall is my baby, but he's also a work truck.
Major respect and admiration for her. That definitely had to have been a tough decision to make. She'll always be beautiful to me, and I hope everything goes well for her.

Meh. Something else will get her.

Death rate is still 100%. Personally, I'd rather have 50 good years with cash tits than 37 good years, 50 titless ones and the last 15 of those titless ones I'm busy shitting myself, forgetting who my family is, and falling over breaking my hip.

Live how you want and die. Longer is not equal to better.

I havent found any studies to confirm her assertion that she had an 87% chance of that specific cancer if she kept her breasts.

I think that's something she and her doctor discussed based on her family history.

If you think about it, the decision she made probably gave her surgeons considerable leeway in how they performed her surgery-of course they removed all the breast tissue and that would be done as a part of the cancer treatment but they would now have options most cancer pt's don't have. Long term, who knows.

Many breast cancer pt's also choose double mastectomy. It's what my mom chose even though a lesser procedure was indicated. My aunt chose the same procedure. Both are 5+ year survivors now.

idk. I appreciate AJ's bringing it to light as it is an important issue. Hugely important. At the same time, I hope it doesn't result in a bunch of people making decisions just because AJ did-that's a decision anyone needs to make in concert with their physician and should not be something arrived at based on a celebrity decision.

So I have never found her that hot.. especially considering the amount of attention she has gotten, but its her health and her decision. She'll certainly have implants and still be attractive while still getting gushing support from the "Oh man, I am so inspired whenever a celebrity donates a used Kleenex to the poor!" crowd.

She probably gets insurance money too.. MANY celebrities honest to god have their body parts like boobs and butts insured for millions of dollars. There are always so many angles to these things.

Hopefully she went with the new generation of silicone. It is much more natural looking.
